All transactions, contracts, and rental agreements entered under the name ToursDigest are legally operated, billed, and managed by Teryck Supplies and Logistics Ltd.

1. General Rental Information

To rent a vehicle or accommodation through ToursDigest, you must meet the following requirements:

• Provide a valid national ID or passport.
• Have a valid driver’s license (for car rentals) held for at least 1 year.
• Be at least 19 years old with a minimum of 1 year driving experience.
• Present both a valid driver’s license and ID card or passport at pickup.
• Pay a refundable security deposit where applicable.

Younger drivers may be subject to additional restrictions, higher deposits, or added fees. Please ensure you carry the required identification at the time of pickup.

2. Age and License Restrictions

• Minimum age in Kenya: 19 years
• Maximum age in Kenya: 70 years

Drivers must hold a full, valid license with no major endorsements. International renters must present both a valid passport and an international driving permit if required.

3. Booking, Changes, and Cancellation

Bookings can be modified or canceled as follows:

• Changes can be made up to 48 hours before pickup, subject to a Ksh. 3,000 alteration fee and availability.
• Free cancellation within 7 days of booking confirmation if rental starts in more than 7 days.
• Free cancellation up to 48 hours before rental start if within 7 days of confirmation.
• 50% charge for cancellations between 48 hours and 28 days before pickup.
• No refund for cancellations made less than 48 hours before pickup or for no-shows.

All cancellations must be sent by email to info@toursdigest.com. Refunds are processed within standard banking timelines. Failure to show up or provide the required documentation constitutes a no-show and forfeits all payments.

4. Conditions of Payment

Mobile Money & Bank Payment: All Kenyan mobile payment modes including M-Pesa, Airtel Money, YuCash, and bank deposits are accepted.

Credit Cards: Accepted cards include American Express, Eurocard/Mastercard, and Visa. The renter must be the owner of the presented card. The confirmed payment method cannot be changed after reservation. Extra charges incurred during the rental will be billed to the same card.

Prepaid bookings will be charged in full before the rental begins. Refunds are not provided for late pickup or early return.

5. Insurance and Liability

All vehicles come with standard comprehensive insurance coverage, which includes protection against damage to the vehicle, third-party property, and bodily injury — subject to the terms of the policy and rental agreement.

Insurance Excess

The renter is responsible for an insurance excess of 8% of the vehicle’s value in case of an accident, unless a Collision Damage Waiver (CDW) has been purchased.

Exclusions from Coverage

• Negligent or reckless driving, or driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs.
• Use of the vehicle by unauthorized drivers or outside approved territories.
• Damage to the vehicle’s interior, tyres, windscreen, or undercarriage without extra cover.
• Failure to report accidents or follow proper procedures.

Third-Party Liability

Insurance covers third-party injury and property damage up to the insurer’s policy limits. Additional legal fees beyond the insured limit are the renter’s responsibility.

6. Accidents and Insurance Excess

In case of an accident, immediately notify Teryck Supplies and Logistics Ltd and report to the nearest police station within 24 hours. The renter must provide all relevant documentation including police reports, photos, and written statements.

Failure to comply with reporting procedures may void insurance coverage. The renter may also be charged for downtime during vehicle repairs, towing, or recovery costs.

7. Delivery, Collection, and One-Way Rentals

• One-way Nairobi ↔ Mombasa rentals incur a fee of Ksh. 20,000+ depending on vehicle class.
• International one-way rentals are not permitted.

8. Cross-Border Rentals & Territorial Restrictions

Vehicles cannot be taken to Maasai Mara or outside Kenya without written approval. Cross-border travel is only permitted to Tanzania, Uganda, and Rwanda with authorization. A written permit costs Ksh. 20,000 and requires 5 working days to process.

Outside Kenya, recovery and breakdown assistance may be limited or unavailable. All expenses incurred are borne by the renter.

9. Chauffeur, Additional Driver, and Extras

• Chauffeur Service: Ksh. 2,000/day within city limits (8 AM–6 PM).
• Additional Driver: Ksh. 1,500/day.
• Refueling: Vehicles must be returned full or refueling fees apply.
• Vehicle Cleaning: Deep cleaning charges of Ksh. 2,000 for spills or stains.

10. Governing Law & VAT

All rates are exclusive of VAT unless stated otherwise. These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Kenya. Disputes shall be resolved through Kenyan courts or arbitration as applicable.

11. Amendments

Teryck Supplies and Logistics Ltd reserves the right to modify these terms at any time without prior notice. Updated terms will appear on this page and apply to new bookings immediately.
